Powerful Engines That Go the Distance

The 2022 Ram 1500 has several different engine options for all trim levels. They all come standard with a very capable 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with eTorque, which generates 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. For a bit more power, consider the optional 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine, which produces 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

The fuel-saving eTorque feature comes standard with the V-6, but it’s also an option for the V-8. Paying extra for this feature makes financial sense in the long run, as the eTorque engine saves drivers an average of $300 in gas every year. Ram also delivers a green EcoDiesel V-6 engine, which generates 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque.

All engine options come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. You can also choose any engine you like at any trim level.

A Range of Trims for All Tastes and Budgets

Tradesman

The Tradesman is the 2020 Ram 1500’s base model. This dependable truck features 18-inch steel wheels, push-button start, and a 5-inch touch-screen display. The touch screen works with Ram’s Uconnect infotainment system. This intuitive system helps you safely make and receive phone calls and text messages, listen to music, and more while you’re on the move.

Big Horn

The Big Horn is where the 2020 Ram 1500 starts feeling a little more luxurious. The touch screen gets upgraded to your choice of an 8.4-inch or 12-inch display. Both have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility for easy device connectivity. The Big Horn comes with chrome accents and premium cloth seats, but if you’d like some extra aesthetic appeal, upgrade to the Sport Appearance Package.

Laramie

You’ll feel positively pampered driving the Laramie. This high-end trim features heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable leather-trimmed seats to keep you comfortable in the saddle. Driver-assistance features such as lane-keeping assist, forward collision warning, and a navigation system come standard. You’ll also love the power-heated mirrors with power fold-away. For a cool, sleek look, choose the black-accented Night Edition Package.

Rebel

If you want to head off-road, the Rebel is a perfect choice. All-terrain tires, tow hooks, an electronic-locking rear axle, and four skid plates help the Ram 1500 Rebel stand its ground on challenging surfaces. Laramie Longhorn
